Dear Joe,
Thanks. Works very nicely for me. And the syntax is simple...
With kind regards, vovchik

Yes, they both work as predicted. And it is starting to come to a point where (even) I now can understand how to work with it. If I may be so bold. I have a question. Would it be possible to put such an svg image as (inside) a button? Rik.

Dear Joe, Thanks for the combo demo. It works like a charm, and not that much code. With kind regards, vovchik

Dear Joe, Here is a slightly modded combo demo using your bassix framework. I simplified the strings-into-combo bit (I think) and the callback, just for testing purposes. It seems to work. With kind regards, vovchik

Dear Joe, Thanks. It works nicely. I substituted the system "cat" and "cut" calls for LOAD$ and TOKEN$, just for fun, and everything seems to work fine with those little mods, too. With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Vovchik
I get this from a compiled version bacongui-gtk
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ /home/pi/bacon/bass/radio-bassix-vov Runtime error: function 'LOAD$/BLOAD' at line 151 in '/home/pi/bacon/bas/radio-bassix-vov.bac': Error opening file: No such file or directory
the file shows as
/home/pi/radio2.cfg
would 'ME$' help
ME$ /home/pi/bacon/bas/radio-bassix-vov
can see you have
myfile$ = GETENVIRON$("HOME") & "/radio2.cfg" BR Alex

Dear Alex,
Sorry. You are right, but I was using radio2.cfg that an earlier program by Joe placed in $HOME. This little demo was intended to use that config file, as Joe speficied that originally. Just modify the source (as you suggested) or copy to $HOME and it should work.
With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Vovchik
I Think ME$ is easier
myfile$ = ME$ myfile$ = REVERSE$(myfile$) myfile$ = MID$(myfile$,INSTR(myfile$,"/")+1 ) myfile$ = REVERSE$(myfile$) & "/radio2.cfg"

Dear Alex,
That is very clever! What about this one-liner:
myfile$ = CUT$(REALPATH$(ME$), 1, TALLY(REALPATH$(ME$), "/"), "/") & "/radio2.cfg"
or this one:
myfile$ = "/" & INBETWEEN$(REALPATH$(ME$), "/", "/", 1) & "/radio2.cfg"
With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Joe & Vovchik
I like the API contexts yet have one concern not sure about the term LABEL
