Dear Alex,
You are right. I think that is why Peter put MARK in HUG.
With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Vovchik
ME$ can take it a bit further
DEF FN FINDME(arg1) = CUT$(REALPATH$(ME$), 1, TALLY(REALPATH$(ME$), "/"), "/") & arg1
conf$ = FINDME("/radio2.cfg")

Dear Alex,
I like that. This variant is also OK, I think:
DEF FN FINDME1$(arg1) = "/" & INBETWEEN$(REALPATH$(ME$), "/", "/", 1) & arg1 conf$ = FINDME$("/radio2.cfg") PRINT "FUNC1: ", conf$

Dear Joe and others, I have done a bit of streamlining to the mini radio prog and added an info button that is supposed to show the current track. That routine (TRACK_INFO) still needs some work. With some sites you need to click the info button ten times (and wait 2 secs each time) before it gets a result. I think there must be a better way to grab the ICY data. Any ideas? Peter's method might be the best. And for the test above, I get the following error: joe-radio2.bac:108:17: warning: format ‘%s’ expects argument of type ‘char *’, but argument 4 has type ‘long int’ [-Wformat=]
INFO: see full error report (y/[n])? y In file included from joe-radio2.bac:345:0, from joe-radio2.bac.c:2: joe-radio2.bac: In function ‘entry1_cb’: joe-radio2.bac:108:17: warning: format ‘%s’ expects argument of type ‘char *’, but argument 4 has type ‘long int’ [-Wformat=] PRINT "entry1 = ",entry1_result FORMAT "%s%s\n"
but that might be a copy paste error somewhere. I will check... Witgh kind regards, vovchik

Dear Joe, Thanks for the latest demo - and update (must have been something with copy/paste, since it now compiles fine and runs). It demonstrates a lot of widgets, so a very useful bit of code that can be used for many purposes. With kind regards, vovchik Attachments:

Dear Joe (and others), I added a gratuitous background, just to see it work, and primitive clipboard paste. I hope it works for you. With kind regards, vovchik

hello vovchik I like red and black so they combine nicely! I am looking at the the songtrack problem and think that we need a way to solve this not only for the radio but for any system calls so its a good problem that can be solved several ways looking for the best option testing.... Joe

Dear Jope,
Thanks. IPC may well be the way to go for grabbing the track info in the radio player. We will have to play around with this. I think it will work.
With kind regards, vovchik

Dear Joe,
Thanks for this bassix widget. It works fine. I think, for the timeout fucntion, we should also probably have g_source_remove in order to remove the timeout as and when needed.
With kind regards, vovchik

Dear Joe,
Thanks. Working as advertised. One of these days that "all widgets" demo will have to be updated with the new goodies...and a scrolled window, message boxes, status bar, menu bar, and a few other valuable things. Compilation times are very good, too (very fast).
With kind regards, vovchik

Dear Joe, Thanks. Everything works, and I see that you are filling it up with widgets. I think it is not a bad idea to have as many widgets as possible on display and in one place, so that the demo itself will serve as a convenient reference. It's well on its way. With kind regards, vovchik

Dear Joe, Thanks. Working fine on my machines. I wonder whether tooltips might be a good idea. It took me a while to find the File menu at the left bottom. With kind regards, vovchik
