All, BaCon version 3.6 has just been released and can be obtained from the BaCon website. This is a new major release with several new and exciting features! Highlights: - Full support for UTF8 strings enabled by the new OPTION UTF8 statement
- Support for OpenMP pragma directives, allowing BaCon programs to make use of parallel programming
- Support for C++ compilers, so BaCon code can integrate with external C++ based libraries like FLTK and Qt
- New functions PROPER$ and ROTATE$ for advanced delimited string processing
- Various bug fixes and code cleaning
See the full list of changes for more details (please refresh your browser cache to see the latest). Thanks to the BaCon forum members for testing and providing feedback. Without them, BaCon would not have achieved its current level of maturity. Special thanks to forum member vovchik, who endlessly and patiently has been testing the new features. BaCon releases are made available after testing on several platforms, including Tru64Unix, MacOSX and several flavors of Linux. Best regards Peter
