Peter,
Not sure what is causing this error to happen when trying to convert GUI apps in Bionic Puppy it does not happen in Peppermint OS or Xenial Puppy linux.
Converting 'apptgui.bac'... 71 Syntax error: cannot define a SUB/FUNCTION within a SUB/FUNCTION at line 71 in file 'apptgui.bac'!
Thanks John

Hi Greco,
Which version of BaCon are you using in Bionic Puppy?
If it is a recent version (>3.9) then can we maybe see the code of 'apptgui.bac'?
Thanks, Peter

I am using the most recent version that I downloaded and install on Bionic Puppy Linux. I just install Bionic Puppy on an old laptop and the message only shows in GUI apps. console apps have no error message for SUB FUNCTIONS and it only happens in Bionic Puppy. I have attached program. Best regards John apptgui.bac (10.05 KB)

Thanks John, I see that your program uses the "HUG" include file. Is it the latest version and is it not broken (should contain 2971 lines) ? Also, are you using the 32bit or 64bit version of Bionic? If I know which version then I can run it in a VM and maybe reproduce your error. BR Peter

Dear John,
I am using Mint 19.2 (64 bit) on this machine right now, and the latest HUG and latest beta from the fossil repository. Everything works if you delete the INIT statement at the beginning (around line 48).
With kind regards, vovchik

I was running 32 bit Bionic and Bacon was a new install with latest hug.bac.
I ended up replacing it with 32 bit Xenial pup and installed bacon and hug.bac I have no problem now it just happened in Bionic pup 32bit.
Best John
