All, BaCon version 3.9 has just been released and can be obtained from the BaCon website. Please try to refresh your browser cache if the new package is not visible in your browser immediately. This is a new release containing some important new features: - Support for SSL/TLS using either an OpenSSL-compatible library, or the GnuTLS or WolfSSL library at your choice
- Functionality to detect UTF8 compliancy
- Improved support for embedding C++ code into BaCon
- Improved Base64 decoding allowing binary data
- Various bug fixes
With the new functionality, an important milestone has been reached: network functions now have matured to modern standards for secure connectivity and reliable data transfers. Using BaCon, we can setup TLS secured connections by adding only one line of extra code, while the rest of your code remains unchanged. Thanks to everybody who has contributed to this latest release, both forum members and also people who have reached out to me by e-mail. See the full list of changes for more details (please refresh your browser cache to see the latest). Best regards Peter
