All, BaCon version 3.7.3 has just been released and can be obtained from the BaCon website. (Please try to refresh your browser cache if the new package is not visible.) This is a maintenance release containing a few improvements and fixes. Most importantly, the associative array implementation, which is based on this hash table code, could produce confusing results because of hash collisions. The hash table code was improved so an additional check for the actual key string is performed. A lookup in the table now will perform linear probing in case of a collision. Furthermore, the INPUT statement has been improved so it more easily accepts data from stdin. Together with the new OPTION INPUT it should solve problems like mentioned here. Lastly, some bugs were solved, for which I should thank forum member vovchik and various other people who have reached out to me by e-mail. See the full list of changes for more details (please refresh your browser cache to see the latest). Enjoy! Best regards Peter

Dear Peter, Thanks for the update and improvements. Everything compiled nicely in Mint 32-bit (17.4) and Raspberry Pi Raspbian. And from what I can tell from my tests, everything is working as it should. With kind regards, vovchik

You could please check the following:
BaConGUI:
When I go to Help->Documentation BaConGUI GTK 3.7.3 stops working until I return form the WeB Browser help session. For me it looks like the Browser Help session is not started as a backround task.
Thank You, Peter Bauer

I am using Firefox 61.01 on Ubuntu 18.04 Mate. Should it be possible to use an other WEB Browser ? I changed the default browser and still the Firefox Browser is started when choosing Help in the BaConGUI.
Thank You, Peter Bauer

If you set the environment variable "DEFAULTBROWSER" before starting BaConGUI then it should open that browser. For example:
Alternatively, if you install 'libwebkit2gtk' from Synaptic then the GUI will use its own window rendering the documentation.

If I set the environment variable "DEFAULTBROWSER" to firefox or google-chrome then BaconGui continues to run normally when using Help->Documentation. I just checked it with Beta 3.8 and there is the same issue(BaConGUI stops working) - when "DEFAULTBROWSER" is unset - like in 3.7.3.
Thank You, Peter Bauer
