All, BaCon version 3.7 has just been released and can be obtained from the BaCon website. Remarkably, the last months showed the lowest density of revealed bugs in the existence of BaCon. Therefore, this is a new major release and contains some exciting features! Highlights: - A new graphical editor based on FLTK
- Huge performance improvements in associative array processing
- Support for external regular expression libraries
- New functions FIRST$, LAST$, EXPLODE$ for delimited string processing
- New operator BETWEEN for range comparison
- Syntax improvements in SELECT CASE
- Improved compatibility with C++ compilers
- Usual bugs, code cleaning and optimizations
One additional note: though syntax changes in BaCon are very rare (only 1 major change in its history), there was another small syntax change in RESIZE to make this statement more consistent with the logic of BaCon. See the full list of changes for more details (please refresh your browser cache to see the latest). As usual, thanks to the BaCon forum members for testing and providing feedback. Without them, BaCon would not have achieved its current level of maturity. Special thanks to forum member vovchik, who endlessly and patiently has been testing the new features. BaCon releases are made available after testing on several platforms, including Tru64Unix, MacOSX and several flavors of Linux. Best regards Peter

Dear Peter,
Thanks very much for this new version. Yes, very many nice and useful enhancements. Bacon compiled without any problems and is now running smoothly on Mint 17.3 (32-bit) and Praspberry PI3 (Raspbian).
With kind regards, vovchik

I haven't been here for a while (decided to take a break from programming and online activity), but I see that BaCon is getting better and better. The new version is indeed faster and works without problems. Once again, fantastic job done!
