Here is a little project that I started on a while back. Its no where near finished, but I figured it may be useful to someone for gtk related things. I plan to continue working on it but I've been pretty busy with other stuff so development will be slow. To run it you need gtk, gdk, glib and wnck. On debian systems just install libgtk2.0-dev and libwnck22 to pull in all of the dependencies. My goal is to make a nice and lightweight panel that behaves like a dock, similar to Unity's panel but without all of the fancy stuff. Eventually I would like to drop wnck, but for right now it provides a good stepping stone. Now that Bacon has PRAGMA I think it will be a little easier. I also want to add a plugin system for menus, network indicators, notifications, etc. Beware the code is pretty messy and I haven't looked at it in a few months. Attachments:
