Hi all, long time.
Any interest in a BaCON Devhelp viewer?

That looks nice! Are you using Yelp for this? I have looked into the possibilities of yelp, but translating the HTML docs to one of the yelp formats seems a lot of work... Regards Peter

No, it's home grown all the way. I built a parser for the "documentation.html" file that writes out a *.devhelp2 file. That file, along with the "documentation.html" file, is added to the /home/username/.local/share/devhelp/books/ folder and bdevhelp (and the original devhelp) picks it up along with all of the rest of the docs you have on the system. See the README for more info. All files are included in the zip. Enjoy! Doyle Attachments:

Dear Doyle, Could you please repost and include the source. The binary is 86-64 and I am running on 32 bits. Moreover, there is no readme in the archive With thanks in advance and kind regards, vovchik

I'll reattach and I hope it works better for you. Doyle Attachments:

Could you please repost and include the source. Hi, I've tried another compression format and included only the bacon source in this one. Anyone else having problems with the original download? Doyle Attachments:

Thanks Doyle for your program!
I had some trouble to get it to run, as your library definitions like "libgtk-x11-2.0.so" do not exist on my system. Additionally, I had to install "libdevhelp" and rename your definition to "libdevhelp-2.so.1" instead.
In other programs I have tried to create a "heuristic library search" which makes use of the BaCon error catching mechanism. It attempts to open a library, and if this fails, the name of the library is changed and then tried again.
But all this was worthwhile the effort! The result is a program which contains your XML-indexed BaCon documentation next to other documentation accidentally residing on my system. Interesting is the "search"-option in the left pane, very handy!
Thanks, Peter
