It is the first time I write. My name is Antonio and I am a developer who started in the 80s with Basic. Work and curiosity led me to use many other languages, from C to Java, from Tcl to PHP etc. Now I wanted to teach my children (10 and 12 years old) the Basic. I chose, among all the other Basic available, Bacon. Coming from those years I always try to keep the size of the executables very small and I avoid bloat software. I was wondering if it was possible to use dietlibc with Bacon. I have tried it and it works very well.
Examples: simple hello.bac dynamically compiled: 30840 bytes statically compiled 909592 bytes with dietlibc compiled statically 45864 bytes
Thanks for your attention

Hi antiac, Thanks for sharing your experience with dietlibc. I never tested this myself before, so it is good to know that it works! Best regards, Peter
