Dear guys, Here is another wave demo, this time with easily defined user text and scrolling along the x axis too!. With kind regards, vovchik Ps. The function is pretty CPU intensive at the moment, so I will devise a more clever way of getting this same result with less effort. Attachments:

@ Peter: thanks. @ All: I obviously like to flog dead horses Here is a version that does not make any external file reads or writes and produces wavy text using only markup...not svgs. with kind regards, vovchik Attachments:

Dear all, This is a demo of a rotating cube using svgs. Wait until it gets to the end to see more flash. I have two versions of the source and two binaries (Lucid) in the attachment. To compile one of them, you have to modify one var in the bacon source, which is easy as pie (thanks, Peter). Have fun, vovchik Attachments:

Dear guys, In my unremitting pursuit of Text Effects with No Genuine Applicability (TEWNGA), here is a very wavy, wavy text routine, thanks to SFR, who coded the original algorithm in bash/gtkdialog on the Puppy Linux forum and posted it there. I just did the BaCon port. Doubtless, VIP (Vodka-Induced Programming) was key to the process. Have fun. With kind regards, vovchik Attachments:

Hi guys; This is something we`ve talked about for awhile now. Maybe I missed part of the discussion, but originally text size was the idea.
Set the width and height of any of hug`s text widgets ( Message Dialog ). I don`t see how to get that info. from your code examples.
An INCLUDE file FUNC. is needed that will return this data. The FUNCs. arguments would probably be only the string itself. Everything else is parsed from the O.S. ( font, size, bold, etc...).
TextSize = TEXTSIZE(str$)

Dear guys, I suppose I eventually had to "pay tribute" to Las Vegas by creating a cheap, neon-sign-like effect using only markup (no svgs). Have fun. With kind regards, Attachments:
