Dear all,
Have fixed up the height/width of the bouding rectangle and background transparency when using BBox. Also added a few filters. Also added a "Stroke only" option in the font color combobox.
With kind regards, vovchik

Thx vovchik,
Works nice, and the effects are awesome! Again, never knew that this was possible with SVG.
Best regards Peter

Dear Peter, I'm glad that it is running as it should. I still plan to add a "save/load template" feature, since I have some room with those placeholder icons at the bottom left for a button or two. There are so many settings to remember if you make a good design and want to reproduce it later. Saving gui settings to a log during an image save would be a start. Is that a good idea? With kind regards, vovchik

Dear vovchik, Saving a log, like the console utility "script", to look back at your actions, is peculiar - in the positive sense. Actually, I never saw a GUI which has such feature. So it definitely would make your program unique! Not sure how much work it is to add it? Saving a template is of course very handy. The text definition of the SVG already is printed to screen, so why not save it in a text file right away :-) The program has become a very handy graphical SVG designer. This is something The Gimp can not do, as far as I can see Best regards Peter

Dear all,
I managed to do some work. There is now template loading and saving. When you save an svg, a log is written that contains all GUI settings. These can now be retrieved via a Template button on the main window (at the bottom). Eventually I have to introduce deletion of entries in the list of templates and, also, user naming such as "Jelly orange on green for project X". Have fun.
The updated source is in the first post.
With kind regards, vovchik
@peter: Thanks for the encouragement. The template loading restores the GUI.

@ all: added 7 more filters - maybe more (Fluid Fantasy is nice); also decided to put all filters into a string array. Updated source in first post.

Thanks vovchik, I like the mnemonic tags popping up a lot, they are very helpful! This program is getting really big - and professional All works fine in 64bit. Very convenient to create a (new) logo for BaCon. We only need to save text to let the SVG renderer create the picture! Regards Peter Attachments:

Dear Peter (and all), Thanks. I have added more filters and patterns (see first post). I am also amazed at what we can do with text and SVG filters/patterns/gradients/fonts. With kind regards, vovchik

Dear all, Added more patterns/filters and a launch script to prevent locale problems associated with decimal delimiters in generated svg files. See first post for source. With kind regards, vovchik

@ all: Updated source in first post. More patterns and better fills. Also no need for script launcher as SRF (Puppy Linux Forum) has solved the locale problem (decimal separator) and the fix is now in the code.
