Dear Alex, I have a lot of our earlier enlightenment/evas/eina/ecore things working on the Pi3. Also some FLTK ones that use the libfltkc wrapper (I rebuilt the lib using codeblocks). Getting good speed with both, actually. With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Vovchik think getting near the end of the XCB as in the bits working. atoms, WM_ , surfaces , keyboard , Argh Keyboard keys syms , still can not make head nor tail of the xcb keysyms , so did an Alex roll your own in the archive is the Demo exec of . if this works from where U sit I be a happy man , if not the demo , run from the terminal since WM not implemented here , keyboard esc , should exit. the key press event is set at first key press , the text should update in the window . comments welcome, then to hugrpi up to scratch. OOP's libgl1-mesa-swx11-dev: Depends: libgl1-mesa-swx11 but it is not going to be installed Depends: mesa-common-dev (=10.3.2-1+deb8u1) but 11.1.0-1+rpi1 is to be installed Conflicts: libgl-dev

Dear Alex,
Ooops! But don't give up on EGL. Incidentally, my evas stuff is working. I had to change a few of the string function returns using (char*) and using <> with PRAGMA INCLUDEs, but that was about it - and that is a result of a newer BaCon. And I have had success, as I wrote above, with FLTK, SDL and GOO. Still experimenting:)
With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Vovchik had another visit to the xcb/glx now with the rpi glx demos with normal drivers all flicker , so did an early demo of my own, also if look at the glxtri // static triangle note the time lag for the redraw so here tried again with xcb glx .IE not EGL.. now got the basic form animating without flicker or time lag on the redraw .. happens when resizing the window Will revisit DRI EGL another day. Dear Alex, The square rotates very smoothly and is in the middle of the small window. Well done. And the binary is tiny! With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Vovchik
Thanks .
can time that one , I did a
time ./demo for 9.8 seconds . it takes about 2 seconds to configure , but excluding that
at the 9.8 seconds it runs at 98 frames per second. at maximised or full screen possible looking at 40 - 50 to 70 fps. depending what goes in.
as y mention tiny binary
I like this one
11.6 KiB (11,868 bytes)
depending what pebau has got configure with the asus tinkerboard this could be good news BR Alex
