Hi Vovchik
new daily at post # 1
Property "auto_delete" has been added , so has a trap for setting the window icon . noticed U used the hard coded
WIN_ICON_SET
the auto delete usage
SETPROPERTY$(*window-widget-id,"window","auto_delete",TRUE/FALSE)
the reason there be error on the win delete event is because there are three windows , so need two set the properties for
both the sub windows , I misssed that one whilst reading through the code earlier.

Dear Alex, Added the auto-delete property to all three windows. It nicely disables the closing of the About window using the WM button but am getting some weird behaviour otherwise - after first iteration, info window does not show, etc., and terminal error as above. Still playing about.... Thanks. With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Vovchik
not sure if this helps , this is what i put at Clean up SUB , changed to FUNCTION
' ------------------ FUNCTION CLEAN_UP() ' ------------------ SILENCE() IF mix_cmd = 1 THEN SYSTEM "amixer -c 0 sset PCM,0 " & "75" & "% > /dev/null 2>&1&" END IF RETURN TRUE END FUNCTION
just to ensure a return from a sys call
but here not got a problem as yet , but can also to switch the timer off in the clean up.

Dear guys, I have a little update - mainly optics. Added a nice optical illusion, barely visible, as the background and adjusted a few little things. Still have to get the Doses/Recreational business fixed and make the parsing bit cleaner - I know, it's a mess, but it works. With kind regards, vovchik Attachments:zensound3.tar.gz (295.69 KB)

Dear Alex, I am still using the older enlightenment that is in the Mint repository. And it is loading svgs. The image in question is an svg - not too complex or big - and it shows in all my gtk and enlightenment things. You may not have the svg_loader bit installed: /usr/lib/evas/utils/evas_image_loader.svg
or the new lib might be buggy. Don't know, but interesting problem. Weird.... With kind regards, vovchik PS. Joe, does the latest work for you? I think we are using the same libs.

Hi Vovchik
the loaders are there
looks like this is emanating from this lib,
think had problem with a previous install from source , did something to get it working , unspeakable *s law Can't remember what.
will convert to png for now , will then look through the code.
update this problem is worse than I thought , looks like a generic svg loader problem , this is the output of convert
convert zenbg.svg zenbg.png convert.im6: delegate failed `"rsvg-convert" -o "%o" "%i"' @ error/delegate.c/InvokeDelegate/1065
Oh dear me , This is Mint 16.
now remember it was mint 15 where had original loader problem.

Dear Alex, It does look like a deeper svg rendering problem somewhere in the bowels of your system. My IM convert worked fine on the original svg (attached), and enlightment shows it just fine. It can all be sorted out - I think. With kind regards, vovchik

Dear Alex, Great! I hand-coded that svg, so I know what is in there. Nothing weird, really, and it is much smaller than the png and could - if need be, be scaled easily. Also, I wanted to see whether I could get that overlay effect with an svg, and it worked. With kind regards, vovchik

Hey vovchik Another excellent demo from what I tried all seems to be working if you would like me to trouble shoot something point me to something exact elementary has excellent widget quality P.S vovchik I have done a lot of math with producing a perfect scale of music which I will post some day on the experimental site the reason it is perfect math is because PI and the standard music scale is way offbut using another simple formula to calculate PI produces a perfect whole number scale in all octaves I think we are both from different planets Joe

Dear Joe, Thanks. Please post your perfect scale work. I am very interested. As for zensound, there is a problem with Recreational in the Doses category. There are too many items in the list and scrolls off into invisible land. It should be split into three parts - e.g. Part 1, Part 2, Part 3- as submenus under Recreational, each containing some 10 items - until we run out. I think there are 29 or 30 such entries. I do not know how we can do it otherwise, since I don't think the menus scroll. Alex probably knows already. If you want to fix this, I would be very grateful... With kind regards, vovchik PS. We seem to be from different planets.
