Hi Vovchik
Can try commenting out the sliders in the testing code First
1. omit the Horizontal slider 'HSLIDER' first . then see what happens , then if fail
2. omit the Vertical slider 'VSLIDER'
Thanks again for the testing
Alex
ADDED , solution below , note If U look in the lib source , The Vslider 'elm_slider_indicator_show_on_focus_set(widget,TRUE)' is already commented out, hence the above

Hey Alex and vovchik An Excellent demo! *vovchik just comment out in two places to get it to compile for testing 'elm_slider_indicator_show_on_focus_set(widget,TRUE) but this is because I am using the older default debian package too Its nice looking at the new widgets combined together and having a elm HUG.bac its also nice to see things when all the pieces start to come together Joe

Dear Alex, With the newest BaCon beta, and putting the gui stuff at the end in a sub, I get an ENTRY error. Weird. Have a look at my source. Nothing changed in the code except for preceding the INIT with a SUB MK_GUI() and adding MK_GUI() before DISPLAY. Weird: In function `MK_GUI': testelm3a.bac.c:(.text.MK_GUI+0x720): undefined reference to `ENTRY' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [testelm3a] Error 1
Any ideas? ENTRY is in a USEC and when I simply chage ENTRY to HUGENTRY in the hug_elm.bac, everything works. Also, if I comment out the USEC bit and rename FIX_HUG_ENTRY TO ENTRY everything works. I think Peter solved the ENTRY problem, so, maybe, that fix is not needed. With kind regards, vovchik Attachments:elmbeta-subtest.tar.gz (10.3 KB)

Dear Alex, Please have a look at the attached. I rearranged the MK_GUI() bit so that widget creation comes first, initialization or property setting comes second, attachment comes third and callback definition comes last. It misbehaves, and I cannot determine the cause. The widget ID is OK - so not the problem. But initializing text or setting properties fails, it would seem, if we do not have immediate setting of those bits right after widget creation, which is probably not a great thing. What stupid thing have I done now? With kind regards, vovchik PS I get this in a term: ERR<10572>: elm_main.c:951 elm_object_part_text_set() safety check failed: obj == NULL ERR<10572>: elm_main.c:951 elm_object_part_text_set() safety check failed: obj == NULL ERR<10572>: elm_main.c:951 elm_object_part_text_set() safety check failed: obj == NULL ERR<10572>: elm_main.c:951 elm_object_part_text_set() safety check failed: obj == NULL

Hi Vovchik
the widget does not register until ATTACHED
therefore if try to manipulate or set properties before the ATTACH then will get err messages :
can test code again and see what happens
but=BUTTON("test",100,25) '@ must attach right after the create ATTACH(win,but,10,10)
' now can change the properties ,etc etc
HTH Alex
as an update'
Latest Beta will be uploaded in few moments,
this will include the ENTRY fix , but users must use Latest BaCon BETA
latest elm BETA now implements canvas 2/3d ,
, last bit evas text to come soon , when this arrives then assume elm = stable release;

Dear Alex,
Seems to be working nicely. Thanks. I am getting a green cone that moves in various ways and dimensions. In the terminal, I get:
elm init picture fern.png id : 151170656 err0 Image loaded
And I also see the fern and the square. All OK?
With kind regards, vovchik

Hi Vovchik downloaded the demo source code, since the menu demo not in with my last update. Rather neat , since in they do not show until user clicks on the Screen , Rather Xfce Desktop type menu's , IE they appear where the user clicks the mouse , I like that. what do U think.
