Hi all,
I found the COPY statement in the BaCon Docs and was wondering how I can use it. It said it's COPY(file) TO(path). I was wondering if I can rename a file with it too?
Like this:
COPY(white-right.txt) TO(/home/user/.conkyrc)
Thanks for any help on this, John

Thanks, I looked at them first before I went dumpster diving in the sample code. LOL I'm going to test Alex's idea and see what I find. John

official main page (Peter may add some new options or features here first) www.basic-converter.org/documentation.html#COPYThe main site converted to wiki formatting (community) wiki.basic-converter.org/index.php?title=Bacon_docs#COPYPeter set up a wiki page and gave a few people permission to maintain documentation BaCon has grown a lot this means if you do find an error or something is not clear it can be modified in this case the documentation is correct with a working example given with the correct syntax As a side note any code uploaded to the wiki is indexed with an option to search for example code( a nice feature) if you enter in a command then press search any and all code that used let's say BUTTONwould be found Joe heres a screeny

@alex.....Thanks, that worked great! I think that is what I'm looking for. bigbass.......Thanks again for that link as I had to look at it a few times. Kept putting ( ) and not " ". I should pay more attention to detail. Now in the first part of copy, I put "white-right.txt" but what do I put if I want it to use a file that has been selected by the list box? Back in the day we would use things like "*.txt" for anything that ended in .txt. Is it something like this or do I need to use a SUB for the listbox and have it assign a value to what was selected? Like "My_File = file selection" or can all this be done with COPY. Thanks all, John EDIT........not sure why Bigbass now has a link?
