Hi Alex,
Your code works fine for me, this is what appears in my prompt:
res libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
And of course an empty window. What are your results?

Hi Alex, Please see attached screenshot of my RPI4 where you can see it all works as advertised Can you try to provide a scenario in which I can reproduce your problem? That way I can help you further... I remember you had some problems installing GTK the other day. Apparently, your installation is not the same as mine? Can you crosscheck with the below output? peter@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo apt list --installed |grep gtk

Hi Alex,
The HUGLIB$ function works by systematically trying to import 'gtk_init' from the GTK2 library, based on version numbering.
First, do you have the file 'libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0' on your RPI system at all?
E.g.:
# sudo updatedb # sudo locate libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
This should give the following:
/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.2400.33
Then secondly, you have to check if the linker can find the library in the linkerpath, you can use 'ldconfig' for this:
# ldconfig -p | grep libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 (libc6,hard-float) => /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0

Clearly, your system does not have the GTK2 library present, as the locate command returns an empty line.
If you do 'ls -l /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgtk-x11-2.0.so' you probably do not see any result either?
In any case, just reinstall GTK2 and try to see if that works.

After installing, you first have to update the 'locate' cache:
# sudo updatedb
And then run locate again:
# locate libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
This now should provide the two lines:
/usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.2400.33
After that, also make sure to update the linker cache by simply running 'ldconfig':
ldconfig
Then, the following should work:
# ldconfig -p | grep libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 (libc6,hard-float) => /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0
Also make sure that the actual GTK library is available on your system:
# ls -l /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.2400.33
Finally, make sure all dependencies are fullfilled, check with 'ldd':
